So what's the difference between Mark V XS and normal Mark V? For a start, it's faster, but not so much so it loses the famous Mark V "feel" of great control. It's spin factor is very high. The sponge is slightly harder than normal Mark V, but not as hard as Mark V M2. On the surface it feels stickier.

Normally some spin factor is lost with harder-sponge rubbers, but not with Mark V XS. The shining feature that has made regular Mark V popular over the years has been it's versatility. Loop, block or push - it does all the basics well and has a superb controlled feeling. We are happy to say Mark V XS continues this tradition, albeit in a faster way, and would therefore suit players who are confident in their game. It's great for speed glue players.
